Day, clinical assistant professor of dermatology at New York City Medical Center. Making matters more confusing, many women follow the misguided advice of their mothers, friends, and facialists who aren’t up to speed. As dermatologist Heidi A. Waldorf, associate clinical professor at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, says, “The only way to make positive changes in your skin is to educate yourself about what works and what doesn’t.”
