About Ultherapy

Ultherapy is an entirely new and unique type of nonsurgical treatment for the face and neck that uses ultrasound to actually lift and tone loose skin without any downtime.

  • For the first time ever, we can achieve significant lifting by focusing ultrasound energy specifically into the deep foundation below the skin that is addressed in surgery, as well as into the skin itself.
  • With ultrasound, we can actually lift and tighten the skin without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. In other words, we are improving the skin quality from the inside out.
  • Surgical facelifts will always be a viable option, but there are many people who aren’t ready for that and are looking for nonsurgical options that produce a meaningful effect.

Ultrasound, the tried and true technology we have used for decades, is now being used for beauty. Ultherapy utilizes the Ulthera® System, which is the first and only device cleared by the FDA for use as a non-invasive face and neck treatment with a specific indication for eyebrow lift. One of the first effects of gravity is that the brows descend, and the eyes start to appear smaller. Ultherapy will lift the brow, which in turn reduces the excess skin on the lids, opens up the eyes and gives a more refreshed appearance. Ultherapy is the only cosmetic procedure to use ultrasound imaging, which allows us to see the layers of tissue during treatment and ensure that the energy is delivered precisely to where it will be most productive. In addition to the visible effects of lifting and tightening, there is also an invisible result with the natural creation of collagen, which can help the skin maintain its youthfulness. Ultherapy is a convenient “anytime” procedure that takes 30-60 minutes and requires no special recuperation. Just one treatment, sometimes two, is needed to get a meaningful response. You’ll enjoy some initial effect but the ultimate lifting will take place over 2-3 months.
Your body’s natural response mechanism to the treatment is to replace tired collagen with new, stronger collagen, and this, as with exercising to build muscle, occurs gradually over time.
Ultherapy is complementary to other procedures addressing more superficial tissue such as lasers and fillers. Ultherapy is uplifting literally and figuratively—patients like exerting some control over the effects of gravity.
